Offensive Youth in Public....

On my way home late last night I stopped at a local service station to buy some catfood, but had to stand back while three early 20-something's did their business.

All good, I am a patient person and they were doing nothing that concerned me.. except I thought I heard one of them say the F-word fairly quietly.... so quietly that I did not have the right to say anything to him.

But, once these young 'men' walked away from the counter up went their volume and out came the offensive language.. so what did I do about it ?

Same as I always do.... I spoke up and said, "Hey BOYS, how about not swearing in public, in front of women and your elders." And of course they kept walking away and ignored me.

So as I was paying for my cat food the young women behind the counter.. also in her early 20's said to me, "Thank you. I hear it all in here late at night. All these young people and even kids talk loudly and say anything they want. It SCARES ME a lot because they don't care about anything or anyone."

I told her not to be afraid of anyone before I headed out the door to my car. And what do you thinkI could hear then ?

Yep.. not only the three young 'men' swearing their heads of even more loudly, yelling over the shoulders at the "stupid fuckin old biatch c-nt " (Me) and laughing about it, but just up the street there were some younger teens also being incrediably loud and obnoxious in their actions and language.

Now.. don't get me wrong here.. I swear, my mates swear.. but we don't use the F-word 6 times in a 10 word sentence, nor do we use the C-word often. In fact I have only used the C-word twice in the past year because I DETEST the word. Never do we speak like this in public.. never in front of females... never in front of Families with kids,.. never in front of the elderly (Elders) and certainly never in front of our Mothers.

But Gen-Y and the younger Gen-X do not give a shit about anyone except themselves. They do not think about anyone else being offended by their language or behaviour becasue they are the most important people in the whole wide world.

I am sick and tired of being the ONLY person who has the balls to stand up and say something to these IDIOTS. I am tired of being the ONLY one I can see in my town who is NOT AFRAID of the youth today.

Oh how I wish for the good old days when a Man would teach a disrespecting young man about manners... oh no.. can't do that today... these "kidults" are Protected by the Law.

Why doesn't the law protect my rights to not have to listen to these self-important young bastards showing no Respect for anyone with their behaviours and language ?

The world is Stuffed Up now.

We let it get like this.

People need to stop being Afraid of youth.

People need to Stand Up and be Counted before it does spiral into anarchy and really does become far more dangerous for anyone who is aged over 35.

Annoyed ? Yes I am....

I got woken up yesterday morning by the sound of someone bashing hard on my front door, and thinking it must be cops since that is their usual M.O.

Guess what?

It wasn't. Turned out to be an aboriginal man about early 20's who I had seen two weeks ago asking me to pass on his mail from my address to his address across the highway from me.. mine is 1/64 and his is 64A, so there has been some problems in the past with the postman putting the wrong mail in the wrong letter boxes. So I agreed.

Back to yesterday morning...

This guy was a bit pushy, asked me where his mail was, told me Centrelink had cut him off and that his mail had been retured to sender..... and 1 month ago I did re-send a lot of mail for him and others back to sender. I stopped doing it after we talked 2 weeks ago... and had even taken mail for him to the other address since then.

But yesterday morning he was not in a good mood and before huffing off he told me to leave his mail in my letterbox and he would come get it..I said, "No mate, if I get mail for you I will put it in your letterbox." He huffed-off then.

An hour later when I had woken up properly with a coffee and my brain was working right, I did some errands on my bike before going to his house to talk to him with my now clearer mind.

Guess what?

He does not live at that address at all !!

The young white guy living there said, "Neville lives in the lane over the back in one of those houses." And that was when I started to see a little bit of Red.

I knew that in the past two years that I have been getting mail for these people that the house did have a young aboriginal women living in it for about 2 months.. who I used to take the mail to, but then they left and the house was turned into some sort of business for about one year before going back to being a rental house.

In the FIVE years I have lived here I've been getting mail for this guy and many others.. you know, unpaid fine notifications, unpaid bill notifications, Electoral Office letters and many other things, which at the time I Felt had something to do with these people AVOIDING their Responsiblities.

Turns out I was very correct about that aspect of things.

So how do you think I am going to deal with this ?

Yep. Putting a padlock on my letterbox this coming payday, and returning all mail for all of these people to the sender.

Why you may ask ?

Because he is ripping off the system, he is NOT taking Responsibility for his shit, he is USING ME to continue hiding from his Responsibilities. So I will not ALLOW him to keep using me like this. I will stand my ground, and I will tell him to take Responsibility for his own shit instead of using me to cover his tracks.

I will also explain that it is a criminal offence to be rooting around in anyone else's letterbox, and that if I catch him at it I will call the cops.

Moral of the story is........

We all have to learn how to stand up and take responsibility for our own stuff, to sort out anything that requires our attention from the Government or any of it's agencies.

It is everyone's job to NOT be used by people who will not do the RIGHT THING. How else will these slackers learn to take Responsibility if we ENABLE them to continue hiding from such responsibilities and using us to ensure they can ?

Once again it all comes down to people needing to STAND UP.

Bah Humbug!

I love that little phrase and only get to use it at one time of the year.

Christmas. What is it good for ?

I ask because WHY we do it confuses the hell out of me. I mean, most people spend way too much money every year on presents, decorations and food.. all for one little day of each year that really has nothing to do with when Jeshua was born in the middle east.

True that. He was not born on December 25th. Many scholars think he may have been born a few years earlier than currently Believed by Religionists, and that he was born just after mid-year.

So WHY do we do it ?

No one expects Muslim of Buddhist followers to DO christmas, but they all expect everyone else in the western world to DO it. WHY?

If I am not a christian then why should I DO it ?

Why put yourself through Shopping Hell, slaving in a hot kitchen to cook Traditional food eaten in Winter.. when it is Summer here in Oz ?

"Tis the season to be jolly"

Really ? So we are only expected to be jolly once a year ? Who thought up this crap ? And why do you all do it to death every year?

And who invented Santa Claus ? Why do we LIE to our kids about Santa ? When the day comes that they hear Santa is not real, they will KNOW you lied to them all their life.... how good is that for your kids ? Do you expect them to ever Believe you again ?

I do like the fact that many friends and family get to have some holidays at this time of the year... so I can ride around and catch up with them all..but I don't want to DO xmas.

I don't want to be expected to buy xmas cards made from Trees, p[ut them in envelpes made from Trees and pay to send them all over the country so that they can hang on a wall for a couple of weeks before being thrown into the rubbish bin.

Why do we do that ? Are we really that stupidly blind to being led by the nose and wallet every single year in December ?

Ahh December.. specifically the 25th... well, the Full Moon closest to that date. A time of the year that had major significance to most ancient peoples in the northern hemisphere.. and being six months opposed to the north, we here in the southern hemisphere see a another significant time of the year... but it is not Jesus's Birthday. Hell NO!!

Religion USURPED all the ancient days and festivals in order to convert Pagans in a less deadly way to how it had been done before that when Conversion was at the Point of a Sword normally.

I kind of feel as if by not DOING xmas, that I am heading towards the point of a virtual sword with family and others who EXPECT me to DO xmas.

Nope.. not me. I don't have to DO xmas anymore. And I won't be made to FEEL as if I am wrong or crazy for not FOLLOWING the Sheeple and their absurd ways at this time of the year.

"I'm an individual and you can't fool me."... hmmm, never really liked that song anyway, but the words certainly apply.

Christmas.......

BAH HUMBUG!!

Gen Y bad form again.

Why is this such a massive problem in our world today ?

I was standing at the ATM, about to put my card in and hit the pin number when an aboriginal boy about 19 or 20, with his girlfriend suddenly appear to my right side only two feet away from me, facing me. So I stopped what I was doing and asked, "Are you just going to stay right there ?"

He said, "Oh.. so what am I gunna do ?"

Straight away I picked up his attitude of Whites thinking Blacks are doing something criminal.

So I replied, "It's just common Courtesy mate. So why not go stand just over there please ?".. as I pointed out where I stand when waiting for the ATM.

"Why should I", he asked with a hint of attitude.

I answered, "It's what I do for everyone. It is common courtesy."

He then said gruffly, "Just hurry up, I got to get some money out!"

I turned around to look at him again, with steely eyes because his attitude was starting to piss me off. I don't take orders from anyone, not Cops, not Bikers, and certainly not from some young upstart Boy with attitude. So I put my hand up towards him and said, "Drop the attitude mate."

Was that the end of it ?

Nope!!

He then started on about, "I'm not giving you any attitude, so just get on with it."

Hmm, another order by this upstart. I stopped what I was doing and turned around to look at him again with those steely eyes.. I could see in my mind's eye his throat in my right hand after he spat the dummy and went for me.

So I turned back to the ATM and said loud enough for him to hear me, "Unbelieveable! You got no respect for elders. Got no manners and think you are the most important person in the world."

He stepped forward and said in front of the growing crowd, "You didn't even say Please or Thank You did you?"

I cancelled the selection on the ATM, pulled my card out and as I was putting it in my wallet I looked at him rush forward.. so I said, "If you had listened to me you would have heard me ask you to move over there please." And I moved away from the ATM.

He of course rushed in and couldn't help himself, "Yeah Buddy whatever!" he spat out as I walked away.

I still don't understand WHY Gen Y and the newer Gen X think they are the most important people in the world.. ALL THE TIME! I see 90% of them have NO MANNERS at all, NO Respect for others and in most cases NO RESPECT for themselves either.

How I wish for the good old days when an older man could thump a young man for being an arsehole to him... and that is what we need to pull these Self-important idiot Youth's heads in.. by learning that there are ALWAYS Consequences to your choice of action, lack of manners and common sense.

New Tyre.. well almost...

Funny thing that.

Two weeks ago I ordered a new rear tyre for my bike, and prepaid half the cost. All good you would think, right ?

So yesterday arrives and I take the bike with it's now quite bald rear tyre down to the mechanics. He says the tyre hasn't shown up yet !!! And with that a van arrives in the driveway, we are both hoping the new tyre might have just arrived. So I leave the mechanic to his job and wait for the phone call to come pick the bike up.

No phone call came!

So I figure that means the tyres still didn't arrive yet (?) Heard nothing so far this morning, so I am hoping for a call before 5pm this arvo. Will not be a happy chap if I don't get a call today... but will have to be a patient chappy instead.

One thing about growing older is you have to learn patience.

Road Safety, Motorcyclists and IDIOT car drivers.

Just emailed this off to the Qld Road Saftey section of the Transport Dept....

"Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm a returning motorcycle rider aged 52. I come back to riding in March this year after an 18 year period raising my daughter on my own.

As such I was very much aware of the dangers with the massive increase in road traffic, so I took my time to get my 'riding-legs', insured I did some emergency braking practice in wet and dry conditions, and put in the effort to keep a high focus on the vehicle movements around me while on the road.

But, all my efforts are almost in vain it would seem. Riders have a joke they like to share amongst themselves.. "Remember everyone else on the road is out to kill you!"

Sadly, this is very true in Queensland. In the 8 months that I have been riding again I have had over half a dozen instances of car/truck drivers doing things that endangered my life, causing me to take evasive manouvres in order to survive.

A few have been young Red P Platers not giving way at roundabouts, two were Police doing the same thing, two have been people braking very hard so as not to miss their highway turnoff, one was a person at a cross junction pulling into the furtherest lane on me and the rest have been idiots changing lanes on me with no indicators.

My bike is brightly painted with lots and lots of chrome, the exhaust has been opened up to a safer sound level and the headlight is constantly on.. so there is no excuse about not seeing me.

This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

Please, Please, Please place Motorcycle Aware advertising on Television and in the Print Media in order to educate car drivers about Motorcycles sharing the roads with them in the hope that these IDIOTS might actually learn to drive safely. And so that I may LIVE beyond the next 8 months
."

Probably some wheezer desk jockey will read the email and have a good giggle before deleting it.

Awww Crap!! So much for a holiday!!

Grrrrrrr bhgffffuuuccchhhhwwllkdnuerst!!

Over 20 years since I last had a real holiday and with it all planned out, routes now mapped into the GPS, just enough dollars sorted and everyone informed... I have to cancel it.

Damn and blast... I was so looking forward to having a real time-out.. time in the wind riding interstate with no worries about anything.

Now I have to replace the rear tyre on the bike before I can go anywhere.. so there goes three quarters of my dollars for the road trip. Bloody cops.. couldn't just let it go since it's only almost bald right in the centre and has a shitload of tread left everywhere else.

Grrrr... not a happy Oldie at the moment.

Friday 9 November 2012

Road Trip !!!

About bloody time with my Gap Year flying past way too fast for my liking. Started the GY in March and these past 8 months I've hardly ridden anywhere and done next to nothing.. so now that is about to change.

Two weeks, about 3,000km, lots of fuel and food, a sore butt, getting lost around Sydney.. yep.. sounds like a great adventure to me.

Can't wait to see what has changed in almost 40 years since I was last down that way. I expect traffic and housing to have multiplied by some gigantic factor, roads going everywhere and little signage to show me the way before I hit the place to turn, so much going on that it will be hard to focus purely on going where I want to go.. and all on a super-tight budget.

I prefer to camp out at night, so will be looking for rivers and camping areas nearby, maybe roadside caravan and camping parks for the facilities.. hot showers, phone recharging and a camp site far enough away from everyone else that my snoring disturbs no one. lol

The highlight I am looking forward to will be in the last week where I get to ride out to Bathurst, do a slow lap or three and visit the Motor Racing Museum near The Chase. Haven't been to Bathurst since the mid 70's and the Easter Bike Races that were on each year until the COPS screwed it up for everyone with their heavy-handed tactics.. the BASTARDS!!

But, I digress.

Will be heading into Canberra for a couple of days, have a good look around there too as I was last there in 1977.. so do expect to see a lot of change.. except those bloody big roundabouts will still be there.

For preparations i've only put a set of highway pegs on the bike, ordered some pullback risers for the handlebars that should be here next week from the States.. and a tent coming next week. Will be able to load up the bike and sit on her like she is a big armchair.. soooo comfy.

I figure one saddle-bag will be my food fridge, the other will carry a couple of days worth of clothing.. extra jackets and stuff for if it rains or gets colder. Spare full face helmet on the sissy bar and everything else tied on to the two small luggage racks.. woohoo.. did I yell ROADTRIP yet ?

Can you tell I'm getting excited about now ? I can. It's been far too many years since I rode a bike interstate on a roadtrip.

The days of easy rider are not over !!

The insanity of Shared Zones in Warwick.

Once again our town planners and decision makers have shown they don't have an ounce of brain between them by inflicting us all with the use of Shared Zones.

Now, in a sensible world the Shared Zone is not a bad idea as long as people are sensible and use it correctly.

Unfortunately that's not what is happening in Warwick with it. After a small trial in the main CBD area, we found idiots would just walk out in front of oncoming cars then abuse the driver for not stopping quickly enough. We saw people not using the pedestrian crossings only 10 to 20 feet away from them because they can now walk out across the street at any time.. and car driver's MUST give way to them.

So council in it's apparent wisdom decided to extend the Zone all the way along the main street right up to the end of the high school where it then becomes a School Zone with an even higher speed limit!! Sheer madness.

My problem with Shared Zones in Warwick is the sad fact that now instead of low-IQ'ers having to learn to be responsible for their safety.. nay... use the Road Safety learning they had all through their primary school years... their safety is now MY responsibility!!

So the whole Shared Zone thing goes against the road rules in this state and it panders to the least intelligent so that they do not have to take responsibility for themselves.

We had this same problem for years at the high school, where kids would flood out into the busiest street at the busiest time of day.. and council had not even put Pedestrian Crossings in for them to use!! Next council allowed a bottleshop to go in across from the highschool.. and then an IGA across as well for good measure. All of which meant that the few carparks in the street available to pick up your kids were now used by people shopping and buying alcohol... the street was now filled to over-capacity with cars zooming into the bottleshop and IGA.

Instead of fixing the problems that already existed, council instead took the easy path.. save the dumbarses from themselves by making their safety the concern of everyone who drives a car in town.

Did I say the Shared Zone speed limit is only 25km/h ??

How stupid?? My bike struggles to chug along at 25km/h in 2nd gear.. first gear is far too low and revs the engine too high.. so I chug along around engine idle to stay in the speed limit while idiots walk out in front of me, left, right and centre.

If there is a God.. I hope he saves idiots from themselves coz I am fed up with this Nanny State taking self-direction and self-responsiblity off the agenda.

Bastards need to wake the hell up.

Heavenly Sounds Cathedral Tour... Cancelled!!!

After all these months of waiting to use my purchased ticket to see Karise Eden sing at St John's Cathedral in Brisvegas.. I find out late last night.. when the concert is this Tuesday.. that Karise has come down with a flu she got in Hobart, so all venues have been cancelled now.

Those thousands of people who got to see Karise in Melbourne and Sydney now have an experience they can call as a Life Highlight.

Those of us who are now missing out on such a unique performer in such a unique setting will never get to experience it exactly that way.. the sounds, the vibrations in a cathedral setting.

I feel a little cheated as I was looking forward to this as a real highlight.. something to savour for years afterwards.

A first time for everything....

Yesterday dawned, and I went back to bed in the hope of a good sleep in before heading to Brissy for a day trip.. then the phone rang. Grrr!!

A couple I know who ride bikes asked if I wanted to ride along to a bike rally called "Bikes Through a Bar".. it sounded like a bit of fun so I canned my plans and took on this new outlook for the day.

We arrived after a 20 minute ride and parked up at the end of a row of nice looking bikes, only tobe told that parking was for the Show and Shine competitors bikes.... so I rode away to park elsewhere.. then changed my mind and parked again for the competition. Paid the $10 for charity and walked away to see what else was around to keep my entertained.

Spent a fair bit of time around the historic bikes, and some of the trade exhibits (sellers) before grabbing some lunch and coffee. Did the ride through the bar ($15 for charity) and parked her up again in the Show and Shine.. went off to watch the piglet racing.. a bit of fun for charity which raised a few hundred dollars just on that little bit of entertainment.

My friend found me and said they were about to call out the winners for the show and shine.. so we wandered over there to see. And that's when I got a big surprise!!!

My bike WON the category for Best Jap Bike out of 30 or so jap bikes in the competition !!

So I happily took my new trophy, had my piccy taken with a cute girly and promptly placed the trophy on my bike to show it off.. hahahahhhahahhaha.

It's funny how the universe offers up something different at times.. little opportunities to meet neww people and enjoy the day.

RED "P" Platers; A Gen Z Rant

Seems like the kids my daughter went to high school with have gotten their driving licences and have begun to wreak havoc on the roads around Little Gumbieville. And I would have thought given how these kids are, something I came to know well, that anyone with authority would have said "No  driver's licence for you.. Yet."

A couple of these apparently Adult Red "P" Platers I've had the displeasure to encounter so far have ploughed into and through a roundabout while seeing me halfway across or already entering the same roundabout.... meaning they were supposed to give way to me, but despite seeing me they turn their head away and keep going.

It's kind of perfect really, as a description of Generation Z youth.. (Gen Z, born from 1990 onwards). Generation Y was the most visible with their "It's all about ME !" mindset.. but now along comes Generation Z.. who have perfected their Isolated "I" Behaviour Patterns, their Self-Righteousness, their lack of Common Knowledge and Common Sense to the extreme.

These are the 'adults' who cannot do simple math in their head, who go nuts if "Facebook" goes down or they lose phone service, or the power goes out, or a real adult tells them the truth... or anything else does not go how they want it to. Generation Z... yep that's them.

Okay, so I know many slightly older adults ( 20's to 40's) also do the same thing at roundabouts, possibly due to their mindset of "I'm in a hurry, got to go do...... ", and I should NOT EXPECT the new batch of Car Drivers to drive with more manners and sense when they didn't see the proper behaviours from their Parents.. but... but... Damn it pisses me off.

It's not as if getting around on my bike or in my car was a whole lot safer before the new batch arrived, but it sure as hell just got a lot more dangerous for me on my bike.

For anyone confused about what Gen Z is.. or Gen Y.. and Gen X.. click on this linky..

Half the Gap Year is GONE

I struggle to understand it.. 6 months of my gap year has already passed.

Was supposed to buy a motorcycle... yep, did that and paying it off nicely.

Was supposed to get out on the road to meet more people and spend enough time camping along the way that I would come to know what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.... sort of done some of that.

My longest ride was only to Gympie for a few days and then back home via Brisvegas.. only about 1,000k's. And so far I have clocked up almost 10,000km's on the motorcycle.. so that's 9,000k's of just bumming around on the bike.. and still no idea of what to do.

So if nothing comes to me in the next 6 months I may have to take another Gap Year to fulfill what I wanted to do with this one.

I do know I want to tour around the country some time next year.. if possible. Meaning, if the Shit doesn't hit the fan big time then I could go on this journey.. could leave my kept belongings with family, and give up my rental accomodation of the past 5 or so years.. the girly would have to take the two cats.. well, they are supposed to be her cats after all.

That's a big step though.. maybe my worrying about whether I should do that or not is what is keeping me stuck still at the moment (?) I know it would feel weird having no fixed address.. never not had a place to call home in the past.. never not had my own place to rest my head at the end of the day. So giving my accomodation up is a BIG step.. then trying to live on the pension while on the road is also a BIG step.

Not sure what to do about the next full year on my Telstra contract if I decide to journey away for a few months.. would still have to pay for it even though I would not be using the internet or home phone portions of the already expensive monthly bill ($138 per month just for Internet and Phone).

Oh well... I still  think we are in a timeframe for major changes in our lives.. and I know I do not want to sit around this house every day doing nothing much at all really.. just want to get out and ride.. and not have to come back to Gumbieville each time.

So excited and also scared of doing what I want to do.. how silly is that ?

Friday 7 September 2012

Great Wall and Chery Brand Cars and Utes.

See the stupid ads on TV for these Chinese made vehicles ?

So you are in the bad books with your missus for buying a reputable brand of vehicle instead of buying a newcomer .. untried... manufacturer to the market ?

Oh, and if you do a little research you will find that both Brands are from one manufacturer.. The Chinese Government Onwed ones that is.

If you look a bit harder you will also find that Australia is the TEST MARKET for the rest of the world with these brands of vehicles... that's right, we still get all the shyte dumped here, we still pay overpriced costs for everything we get here, etc.

Another OH... I wonder how long we have to wait for health problems to arise with owners of these Chinese vehicles ?

I'm seriously asking that question. We know for fact that much of what comes out of China is produced from recycled toxic substances.. so you should expect that the plastics and vinyls in these vehicles will be tainted in some way that will have negative health aspects down the track.

But don't listen to me... just stay in the brainwasher and do what the TV ads tells you to do okay?

Yep. Don't think for yourself.. let TV do all the thinking for you.

Freedom.. it's not real anymore.

Yep, you read that correctly. There is no such thing as Freedom.

Sure you are told you have Personal Freedoms, but they are extremely limited aren't they ? Think about it...... before saying I am full of shyte.

1/ You are free to work 5 to 6 days a week... but you HAVE TO ANYWAY if you want to live like the Jones's and have all that nice Stuff, and pay off an unfairly-inflated-price and Loan System for the House you might be able to leave to your kids when you die.

"But", you may ask, "When do I get to LIVE MY LIFE if I work so much of my life away ?" Oh, and you are free to ask that, just don't expect a sensible answer that isn't along the lines of.. somewhere in the 8 hours assigned for you to sleep and the 8 hours assigned for you to "recreate" in this Modern Slavery System... despite the fact that a BIG chunk of that daily "recreation time" are actually spent in preparation for/recovery after and travelling to/from Work.

2/ You are free to go where you want when you want... but you are monitored every step of the way via Cameras and Phone Service Providers. Oh and you can only move about the place if you can afford to buy petrol, pay Registrations Fees repeatedly.. so see section 1/

3/ You are free to drink as much water as you feel the need for. Oh, but be sure you PAY for it, and please ignore the FACT that OUR State government is still POISONING you despite the Truth being said aloud by Health and Scientific Researchers the world over.

4/ You are free to Educate yourself in order to try and find a better paying JOB with nicer conditions. Oh, but then you will accrue a massive Debt that will need to be repaid if you can get employment that pays more than a burger-joint does.

This education system is very much like America in that it really is NOT FREE AT ALL. And it will force you into Debt Slavery.. what a great way to begin a fresh young adult life huh ?

"But", you may say, "My family is wealthy and can afford to put me through University, provide for my after-Uni world jaunt before offering me an executive position in the family business." Well, aren't you just one of the truly lucky ones then ?

5/ You are free to be heard by your Government... damn.. NO YOU'RE NOT. They do not want to hear what you have to say at all. Government will ignore you at all times unless you have the money from pressure groups to pass into some Politician's Hand to BUY THEIR EAR.

Government will also tell you that you can be Heard by VOTING.

Is that really enough ? Your vote changes NOTHING.. except which BRAND OF GOVERNMENT is in POWER. Each brand is not a lot different to the other, they are all occupied by LIFESTYLE POLITICIANS.. and supported by the very same Lifestyle Public Servants each successive government, are they not ?

And, the Agenda keeps you scurrying around for more dollars to buy more stuff, to have more brain-sapping entertainment fluff so that you DO NOT START TO THINK FOR YOURSELF... because you do not have the spare time to think for yourself about anything really important.

That'll do for now, I am sure some of you could think this through even further and come up with a few more points of interest.

NO right to Protest anymore ?

Seems we just keep on following America... bring the cops out in force against any and all protestors. Use force to stop people having the right to Protest and be Heard... Yep.. that's America in a nutshell. Except this is in Australia.

In Amerca you run the risk of being injured, killed or stuck in police holding cells until they see fit to deal with you. In Australia you run the risk of being injured, killed or stuck in police holding cells until they see fit to deal with you.

Yep, that's the same thing.

It's weird to think that Australia became a Nation BECAUSE of Protest.. the Shearers Strike and the stand taken at Eureka by Miners against the Crown.

But now anyone who protests is considered to be acting illegaly, and they get NO support from the average people ... just look at the Occupy Movement that was TRYING to make some positive change for all of You... but none of You supported it. You just watched them on youtube being trampled by horses, peppered sprayed by Militarised Police in Victoria and Sydney, being physically attacked in all the cities.. and you stood back doing NOTHING.

This tells me most Australians have turned into GUTLESS bastards.

I have never been more disappointed in the Australian Poeple as I have been in the past year. You get what You DESERVE. So please continue to stay in your FEAR, stay in your hope that it never happens to you... and await the day when you HAVE TO protest.. and then get trampled, peppered sprayed, shot at with little bean-bags and violently attacked by Your Public Servants.

Fined for not voting in Council Elections ?

For all my life the only people who voted in Council Elections were home owners who pay Rates. Makes sense right ?

So sometime in the last few years the Law must have been changed to make everyone vote for Councils. Since I don't watch TV News, or read newspapers, I was completely unaware that the Law had been changed.

Friday morning I check my mailbox to find a notice from the Electoral Office saying I had 2 weeks to pay a $100 fine for not voting in my local Council elections !!!

It went on to say that if I paid the fine immediately it would only cost me $50, but will be $100 BY the due date.... which just so happens to coincide with me having to pay Rego on my motorcycle. Being on a Pension means you get paid once every 2 weeks and can only just afford to pay phone/internet connection bills after everything else is paid for too.

So I have to wonder why the Electoral Office only gives us 2 weeks to pay a fine that is huge compared to my income level. If not paid on time it will incur late fees and charges that will see it rise above $150. And then I will have to go through the SPURS system to pay the fine off... which also incurs more fees to bring the fine into the region of being $200+.

Seems to me these BASTARDS just keep finding ways to suck money out of everyone, and especially those at the bottom of the income pile... like us Pensioners.

Plain Packaging for Smokes.. what a dumb idea

Seriously.

This is such a dumbarse idea, more stupid than anything else I can think of.

Instead of spending all those dollars forcing this stupid idea through into Law, why not use that power to force Cigarette Companies to STOP using toxins in the manufacturing processes ? Yep, they would have to rely on the good old fashioned drying in the sun or shed method.

The health benefits to the nation would be instantly noticable.

Then the government could also force them to STOP adding coloured and flavoured FRUIT PULP to the tobacco to make it go further and thus increase their PROFITS.

Seriously.

Has the world gone totally INSANE ?

What is wrong with all the Politicians today ?

Can no-one see any sense these days ?

If I was Prime Minister there would be many things I would change for the better... not just looking like I am doing something about the problems.. but actually doing something about the problems.

Grrr at the new Qld Health Minister...

Bloody hell man... answer your email inbox!!!!

Or better yet, employ some lackies who will do their job properly and insure you read important mail.

Mr Health Minister.... Lawrence Springborg.. seems either you don't read emails, or your lackies don't pass them onto you, or you don't give a shit and couldn't be bothered to read what you need to know.

So now I have to print out the letter and hand it to you directly when you appear in my town again.. maybe you might read it then. And maybe then you might realise how important it is for you to do some damn thing about the Flouride Issue facing we Queenslanders.

Maybe you will learn how it is killing people, and thus how you as Health Minister could save 40 or 50,000 lives each year... simply by turning off the Flouride.

Maybe you would learn about the very negative health effects being recorded world-wide in countries and towns where Flouride has been in the water supply for years ?

Maybe you would read important statements by Professionals, Scientists and Health Care Researchers who prove beyond all doubt how bad this Flouride in water really is for the people you represent ?

Now that would be doing your job properly wouldn't it ?

Vinnies don't do Lay Buy !

Here's a sign of the times folks... another in a very long line of things to notice if you can that show us where we are in the big scheme of things.

St. Vinnies.. the place were so many of Australia's poor buy used clothing and furniture.. since that is all they can afford to buy.. has stopped allowing Lay-Buy since January this year !!

Seriously folks.

I went in to lay-buy a decent entertainment unit and was told flat out that they don't do lay-by. I asked since when and the old woman told me since January.

Then I asked her, "How are poor people supposed to buy stuff then ?"

I got no reply.. just a look.

This little snippet should tell you how bad things are getting when St. Vincent DePaul can't help the poor anymore to get furniture items... one small cog in the bigger machine.. and that cog isn't doing it's job anymore. Read what you will from that.

Winter .. or who turned the heater off ?

Three nights this week I woke up freezing cold, and it was too cold to get out of bed to go find another blanket, so I just curled up and waited for sleep to overtake me. Then woke up an hour later still freezing.

Still, that was nothing compared to riding my bike to the Big SMOKE a couple of weeks ago to see Karise Eden sing live. At 7:30am it was still -2.. I was heading out to the bike then.

By the time I got to the end of my street I was thinking of turning back for home!! Damn it was so cold.. my face hurt so much in the open helmet that it gave me a neck-ache and headache!

But the stubborn part of me, the not-a-wimp part wouldn't let me turn around and so once I got over the range and descended the air began to warm up. Just in time for a breakfast stop at Aratula and to peel off all the layers of clothing, coz now I was sweating golfballs... yep I have no balance at all.

The rest of the day was wonderful and warm, and Karise was truly amazing to watch live.. loved it. Bought the album and haven't stopped listening to it yet... two weeks so far. Even turned some friends onto her performances who had never heard of her before.

So, my original question is Who turned off that bloody big heater in the sky ?

Can we have it back on please ? Coz I am starting to be one of those old fogey's who try to avoid the cold at all costs.... not really but it sure seems that way some times. Most days my house never warms up enough to take socks and jacket off.. and yet in Summer it is stinking hot indoors all the time.

Anyway.. that's me late bleat for this month so far...... come on Spring time !!

Karise!! Karise!! Karise!!

She did it again.

A few weeks back I saw a young Aussie girl sing "It's a man's world" on the Voice website.. and from the moment she began to sing I melted, I was spellbound, addicted to this girl's raw and powerful voice... and how it made me feel, how it made my eyes water in joy.

So I followed her TV career in the hope she would make it even amongst the well trained singers and professionals who also got through their audition. I found out she has had a hard life and that made me even more hopeful of seeing her do very well.

Each time Karise sang it made tears of Joy run down my cheeks.. every bloody time.. and I am still addicted to how she makes me feel when she sings.

So tonight I got to listen to her twice. Her own song first, which was bloody brilliant. The type of thing that draws you into the story being told and how it feels. She showed us inside Karise far more than any interview could.

But then she backed that up later with "Stay with me Baby". Holy hell... blown away again!! Stupid watery eyes and wet cheeks again. I was moved.. deeply, totally and irreparably moved.

Along with maybe 7 or 8 others from that show, Karise Eden will have an amazing career.. and I will forever be a great fan. I will buy her albums. I will tell people to "be quiet" when she comes on the radio. And I will enjoy it all as much as I did the first time I heard her voice.

The Headline says "Flogged".....

I don't believe what I am seeing on the Nine MSN front page this morning.

In America.. typical... some nosey neighbour videos a bloke who gives his step-kid two smacks on the arse. And even though we can't hear what is being said, the guy recording video claims it is because the kid dropped the ball, he also claims the "Cowardly" man "FLOGGED" the kid.

Since when has a smack or two on the arse ever been Flogging??

To get a flogging means you were punched around a lot, or severely lashed with whips or other weapons.

Never can anyone say two smacks on the arse with a belt is equal to a Flogging.

Seriously.. the namby-pamby bleeding hearts have screwed things up for everyone when they don't even understand the difference between a smack and copping a flogging. Dickheads.

On the road again, just can't wait to...

Took the good turn of weather as an opportunity to ride out and see friends and family over the past 5 days. Perfect weather all the time!

So the first stint would be the longest, 371k's to north west of Gympie. I'd been undecided about which of the three ways I could go, inland, coast, or cut across heading north east. The last one got the nod as I rode past the 12 mile turnoff to Brisvegas.

And what a good nod it was. Took the Pilton turn off from the Towoomba 'highway' and found that Ma Ma Creek road had been fixed up a lot since 7 weeks ago when it tried to turn me into a pretzel. So this time I could enjoy the ride instead of dreading the pain in each turn.

The road takes you into Gatton where I took the Esk road out and got sand blasted by a semi hauling landfill. Forgot what that was like, and now I remember it I still hate it. Even though the road marking told me I wasn't allowed to pass .. you know how it is. The rest of the ride to Esk was most enjoyable, as was my breaky and a ciggy in the park there. Saw a slightly older couple heading out from there on a big Beemer as I pulled in. 2 wheel Grey Nomading is fun, obviously.

With the body fuelled up it was time to decide whether to go via Somerset Dam, which would be the preferred route with plenty of time up my sleeve, or ride on from Esk to join up with D'Aguilar highway to Kilcoy. The last option got this nod. Before Woodford I turned off for the Kilcoy-Beerwah road as I knew this was a nice bit of road with some windies and lots of scenery to cruise through.

Fuelled up in Beerwah before hitting heavier traffic on "Crikey!! I'm dead Way" and even more traffic once on the Bruce Highway.. me no likey that road. Once I got to the 90km/h zone all the way to Gympie and beyond, boredom set in. I've seen that scenery more times than I can count and sitting behind a Hyundai, behind a Bus, behind a semi... etc, just wasn't sitting well with me. So I was naughty all the way and finally arrived at my first stopover.

Next day I took a ride to Tin Can Bay to see an old friend, and was still a bit naughty.. damn that highway!! Saw some "lose your licence and go to jail" speed once or twice. Yep, very naughty. But in my defence I was being sandblasted by semi's hauling dirt and others with logs.

Had a day out of the saddle doing other things and come Saturday morning I pulled my saddle bags out of my mate's shed, cleaned them up, and found I can carry a week's worth of stuff in them. Which is looking good for my 2 week NSW tour later in the year. Gives me more room now for small tent and bedroll, and food, and spare fuel.

Saturday arvo I headed to Yandina down the Bruce highway.. behaved myself a lot better this time. After a coffe and ciggy stop I continued on the higway.. which was getting boring by now .. until the Pumicestone road turnoff. I thought I would have a look at the old back road to Strathpine as it used to be  a nice cruise when I kicked around there. Ok that was last century, so things might have changed a bit.

They had. Lots. Apart from all the trees being taller, the housing, shops and signage had increased 1,000's of times more than I knew it in the mid to late 80's and with so much going on I had to get my focus on big time. It just got heavier from there, all the way through Caboolture, Petrie and Strathpine. Not going that way ever again... 'effin madness.

So I was glad to arrive at a mate's place nearby and hide behind his big gates away from the madding crowds. Kicked back overnight and this morning the bike got her wash, ready for the last stint through Brisvegas and out to Gumbieville via Cunningham's Gap. Was nice to get home. Checked the trip meter which read 967km's.

There were lots of bikes on the road come Friday arvo, and more over the weekend. Well it was perfect riding weather.

Not a bad 5 days I reckon. And great praccy for my jaunt south through Mexico around the time of this year's Bazza Memorial Ride.

Got the shytes...

On an Aussie bike riders forum I saw a thread where people were asked.. "If a fortune teller told you that you would definately die riding motorcycles, would you still ride or give it up?"

All was good for a little bit then I noticed more and more replies saying things like, "fortune tellers are a load of crap", and, "They need their head punched in." I wondered why so many were so hostile about people like Me.

So after a day or two thinking about it I wrote a new thread starter called, "More things in heaven and earth than in your...", where I asked why people thought those things, and then told them two things about me that my friend's know about me. I did this to see how they would respond to a member owning up to being a 'fortune teller' and seeing/working with the deadies.

Well.. as expected the heavily opposed to this stuff jumped in boots and all. Once again I read posts demanding scientific proof before anyone would stop saying, "Load of crap" and start thinking, "Might be possible, I don't know." And it went on like that day after day while I tried to answer all questions openly and honestly as best I could.

But instead of asking questions about how it works for me, or how I experience these things, they supplied info from a variety of scientific studies to 'prove' none of what I was saying could possibly be real. And thus I was a looney... or as one responder wrote.. "Oldie's f_cken loop fruit!!" Others weren't that nice. One in particular attacked me heavily, as he did in a previous thread when he took exception to what I said about something. This one even quoted from that other non-related thread to pursue it in the new thread.

I of course played as nicely as possible. I held my tongue when pushed, but still these few maintained their pushing to the point that one day was spent typing replies, and then typing more for the new responses that arrived in between. All bloody Day!! What a waste.

I was a bit shytey about it, so decided it was time for some get out of Gumbieville time.. which the next post covers. Hoped to get some clarity on how to approach it when I got back.

I think this post has answered it for me.

Thursday 10 May 2012

What's going on?

Not much it seems.

I keep finding excuses to get on the bike and ride for an hour or two... rain or shine, it doesn't bother me. Managed to slow down the washing and polishing to just once a week so I don't buff it away to nothing.

In other news, I am learning now about how strong the cultural conditioning is in our society. Always knew it was strong, but what I'm seeing now has tended to drag my hope for humanity backwards a fair bit.

Seriously.

I thought by now many more would have moved away from the outright ignorant perception that "spiritual stuff" is a load of crap, anyone behaving like a spiritually-motivated person is to be treated like an idiot and ignored, and that doing so is performed with a simple statement like... "What a load of crap", or, "That's all bullshit", etc.

I noticed this week in a conversation amongst motorcyclists that "fortune tellers" .. the term chosen for the discussion... are likewise a load of crap and are apparently deserving of a beating for doing what they do.

Yes, nice sentiments there for sure.

So me being me, I typed a small (for me) line or two about psychics and what my impression is of the Industry after having worked in it for a few years.

Got ignored completely.

Am I surprised?

Hell yes.

Did it stop the "load of crap" style comments?

No it didn't.

What's that tell me?

I was born 100 years too damn early.

Reasoning:- The opposition to what I have to offer is so much more ingrained and stronger than I had so far recognised.

I have seen it from the New Age Industry.. from those already in respected positions.. or wanting to be, and I was aware that mainstream everyday Aussies are still very much what I call "Meat and 3 Veg" type people. You know.. Traditional, Experiencing the inside of a very safe box of perception and Belief.

But how strong the anti-spiritual side of things is, really got to me today. Doesn't matter what anyone who Knows has got to say, most people are going to jump straight in and say, "Load of crap."

That means the things I've known about and participated in since my early childhood are even to this day Believed to be a "load of crap" by the vast majority of "normal" Australians. The very people who have not had experience of anything non-physical, and so do not Know, and yet they cannot think, "Maybe it's possible". No, they go straight to, "It's a load of crap."

My 'spiritual job'.. if we can say that.. is to help people by showing them how to find their own answers easily, how to directly experience the 'spiritual soul' that they really are.. easily, and so assist people with waking up to the reality all around them just outside that neat little box of Beliefs they are strongly attached to.

This being the case, my job is as I see it now, nearly impossible when the majority of the population are not even ready to consider anything other than what they know and Believe to be "Right." Most won't or can't see how we are brainwashed or indoctrinated from the moment of our birth to be nice little replicants in a conformed society.. Homogenised like milk!!

When I talk about the Indoctrination into our Culture, most tell me I'm wrong.. speaking a load of crap, etc. So I can't even begin to do anything with them until they can move on their own to a point of perception where they might be able to CONSIDER something outside their Box existing. If they can't, then I am wasting my time and efforts.

But, not only wasting my time and efforts with these people, but for the majority of my life so far. Makes me think I shold give up and simply float through life without a care about anything and just have a good time while it lasts... never thinking about what others are experiencing or how they can be helped.

Hmmm???

Good thing this motorcycle blows those cobwebs out of my mind when I ride her. Puts me in a place of just floating along without a care in the world.

Think she's teaching me something?

Good question huh?

Back in the saddle part 2

Yesterday dawned cool and cloudy.. and since it was my "get the hell out of Gumbieville day" I had to stuff the Dri Rider winter liner + new gauntlets and sodium "Chopper" glasses to test in the dark on the way home in to a small backpack before hitting the road to see a mate 90k's away. I put an order in for some rain along the way to test how weatherproof everything was.

So a nice day was had visiting and I left at sunset, as the clouds promised some good rain for testing.

Open face lid was no issue when the rain came 10 k's down the road as my left hand esily covered my nose and cheeks with the gauntlets on.. all good so far.

As it got darker I found the riding glasses to be bloody good.. no glare from oncoming cars and trucks and even as the rain got heavier I could still see the line markings. As it got even darker to full night I could see with no problems at all... well worth the $9.98 investment from Ebay.

Very impressed too with the tyres on the bike in various levels of rain and road wetness.. I felt very confident and mostly dry.. I did only wear jeans after all so I was wet from the knees down.. nothing surprising there.

As I buttoned off for the 80km/h zone into Gumbieville I noted a small pool had built up at the bottom of the jacket where it was bunching up and the easing of wind pressure allowed the pool to drain through to my crotch.. oh well, that's been wet before too. Nothing a decent pair of wet weather duds won't fix.

The worst affected part of the jacket was the top outside pocket.. it was a bit wet inside.. so I won't be putting anything of importance in there.

So, being very happy with the outcome of apparel testing I decided to take a ride today since it was raining around the foothills.. bloody brilliant with hardly any traffic at all.

This time I had the liner out of the jacket and wore my fingerless gloves.. they got a little damp in the light rain and a bit more in the heavier rain. I pulled up at Yangan to check to see if the cool feeling on the front of me was just wind cool or wet cool.. turned out to be slightly damp cool.. so the liner will have to stay in it for future rides if rain is a possibility.

The smells you get on a ride out in the country when it rains are simply awesome.. couldn't smell road kills at all today, fortunately.

All up, I have to say I'm loving being back in the saddle again.

Back in the saddle after a long time; my experience so far.

I've been out of the bike scene for many years and have finally reached the point in life where I'm empty nesting with no wifey to try and manipulate me.. happy times indeed.

The last bike went when I was told in all seriousness by the pregnant wifey that I had responsibilities now, etc. And soon after I was pensioned off due to old injuries from my maniac riding days of last century.. so no bike, no bike magazines, etc, as other things had $$ priority once the wifey left me with the girly and took everything else.

So this post is about my re-learning phase to safely get out in the wind again.

After six months of seeing what you could buy for your money these days I settled on an older (2001) Vstar 1100 classic.. piccies of which I have posted up already in other threads. This fit my small budget of $6,500 and was advertised privately for that amount with no RWC or Rego.

So I rang the owner and we gently haggled it down to $5,500 cash since he needed some urgently for his bank account... and I had to sort RWC, Rego and Transfer fees with what I had left after purchase.

Next day I left the car in the shed and bussed it up to Gympie to test the bike. I found the owner to be a genuinely nice guy, pretty honest, and desperate for dollars in the bank to keep paying his new HD off with.

On my test ride I met an older Viet Nam Veterans MC rider who told me the bike was well loved by the owner so I had better take care of it, etc. That was the confirmation I needed after finding it rode well, didn't seem to have any issues and needed nothing more than a headlight bulb for RWC. I spent some time over coffee looking through the service booklet to see it was all in order and made a mental note of the new tyres and always garaged condition, etc. And I was impressed with the low 52,200 km on the clock in those 11 years of it's life.

I became the new owner of a Cruiser that day, after 18 years with no bike. And I was excited, thrilled to bits to have the chance to enjoy riding out again. To be honest I struggled a bit with some elation making it harder to focus clearly... some called it the start of a honeymoon phase.

Day one I had about 400 or so k's to get her home after paying for the insurance and paperwork to ride it. The first thing I noticed was how content I was to sit around 80 to 90km/h on the country roads, but also found 100km/h on the highway was a bit uncomfortable due to not having the same neck or upper body strength as I had in my youth... something I can remedy though.

The second thing was my tailbone started to get a bit sore after an hour, so I changed my plans and had a few stops at friends and family to let me walk it out a bit before continuing... and suck down a ciggie or two with coffee. Ahh addictions!

The last stint was at night.. an open face lid and lots of bugs, dark sunnies didn't really help matters at all and going up the Range made me remember about the cold air going through the wrong sort of clothing.

Next morning I dropped the new baby into the local bike mechanics for a service and RWC while I started looking around for jacket, gloves, night riding glasses, etc. All of those came from Ebay at bloody good prices.

Now I had the bike, the gear, and was ready to ride. But I knew I had to get my bike-legs back before tackling anything long distance/interstate.

So I began taking regular small rides, under 200km, and a lot of around town stuff to get a feel for being in traffic again. I made sure I did a couple of test stops so I knew how the bike would react to emergency braking, I made sure to get some wet weather riding in so I could feel how the tyres worked in various conditions, and did some dirt roads while I was at it since they were the things I hated most on a road bike.

Something I noted was that with more time in the saddle I could ride further before needing to walk out the sore tailbone. A little handlebar adjustment and some leg stretching to the end of the running boards made a difference.

In the month that's passed since I bought the girl home, I've had two instances where car drivers forced me to take evasive action, both times I kept her upright and stayed calm. Not like when I was in my youth at all.

With 2,200 k's under the belt now I am very aware that my survival depends completely on my approach to riding.

And I am a little surprised with being able to see car drivers 'radiate' their intentions with small clues like head positioning, small steering wheels direction changes.. all the things I didn't really notice in my younger man days. Which is probably why I had a few prangs in those days.

I was very happy to find I hadn't turned into a sunshine rider in my older age, so rain still doesn't bother me. But, the cold does now.. maybe that's just a sign of age.

I'm looking forward to what the next couple of years brings as I have plans for a 10 day jaunt through NSW later this year to see old friends and see what has changed since my young days of interstate rides, and later I want to see Darwin, the one place I have never been in Oz yet.

My daughter asked me if I will come back home after Darwin. I thought about how silly it would be just to turn around and ride home when the road west continues and will eventually bring me home again anyway.. 3, 6, or 12 months later.

But, one day at a time.. which is how I have to take life anyway.

Over a month since the last blog.. wonder why??

The Bike... that's the answer.

My first ever blog post said I was going to get a bike.. and six months later.. witrh the help of a very good friend.. I got it and have been re-learning about how to ride safely in this overpopulated road system.

Loving it.. is another term that comes easily to my mind about the bike.. the wind in my face.. a little bit of sunburn every ride.. a bit of needling pain when it rains.. the smells on the breeze.. are all instant reminders that I am IN the environment and not caged off from it.

I love it.

Thank you my good friend for your help.

Massive Wave Of Resignations: The New Bandwagon!

Just going to copy and paste this quote from 12/03/2012 ..

If you are new to the topic, let me explain briefly what is happening. Since mid-January/early February, there has been a massive wave of resignation coming from top level public figures (not necessarily the biggest of the big shots, but still big enough to be of concern/interest). We are seeing an odd amount of people leaving their office in all domains: banking, politics, economics, corporate, and etc.

The total number so far is 254 resignations. Two weeks ago, the total was 81. That means that within 2 weeks, there have been 173 resignations. Not all of these resignations come from CEO's, but the grand majority of them come from high enough executives. Also, please note that this list only shows resignations linked to the financial/banking industry.

Hmm ?? My first thought when this began in January was simply... the Rats are leaving the ship.

Don't read this if you're scared

This is one part of a conversation I had tonight with a friend via email and decided to share it openly for a reason you will understand.. if you read it that is, lol

..............................................................................................................................................

Thoughts do have a lot of Power.. the subtle energy we haven't learned to observe yet. Maybe that has no Mass to speak of in an energetically aware "universe".

First teacher told me, "We don't have the right to expect our next breath."

Being 17 at the time I thought it a bit nutty to be honest, despite understanding the meaning.. in a mental way. Took so long to get it, especially now my breath is not what it was.

Yep... we go about life as if we Know what Reality is.. not understanding that most basic reality is only consensual due to our thoughts. Outside of those little boxes is an amazing existence, something we will wake up again into from this dream of life.

I like how you said it better....

"Left with death".. weird isn't it? I mean we sort of suffer a deathly withdrawal to experience being human.. and when done with it, we have another death to wake up again.

When saying there are two things you can rely on in life.. Taxes doesn't make the list.... only Birth and Death do. Two sides of the same thing.. Enter Here... dumb-de-dah dumby-dum.. Exit Here.

So why is it a taboo subject? That's insane I reckon. We hide from it all our lives, and hope it won't come early.. or at all in many cases. Scares the shit out of 99% of the people.

We should learn to embrace it as part of life.

Mate..I've had a lot of experience these 50 odd years with the "other realities".. the stuff we've all forgotten. Over the years I have tried, and tried, and tried my heart out, to share what I know from my experiences so that people learn not to be afraid of living or dying.

But... new things are usually derided at first, they get cast to the fringes and minimised in the hope of them disappearing. .. and yet at some much later date become part of humanity and it's knowledge base. Weird isn't it?

I always hoped that if people knew from listening openly that when a "deadie" as I call them, arrives at what I call the arrival zone, they firstly are met with something from their 'life' to help them focus and feel comfortable in the surroundings.

And then the most beautiful thing you could ever observe starts to happen. They begin to sparkle a bit from the inside.. and as that gets brighter all the stuff I call Dross... that's all their personal Beliefs about Everything, their worthiness, what exists and what doesn't exist.. their worthiness x2.. all the BELIEFS of humans falls away from them !

When they are fully awake they shine so brightly it makes me cry in Joy. I love to watch this.. I love to tell people about it.. I just wish people would listen. It would help them not get caught up in their Beliefs when dropping off the body and get stuck close to Here or find other places to create what they Believe about everything.

So there ya go... laugh or think.. do what you want.

The Scientific Method.. and Reality.

Don't get the two confused whatever you do... it's bad for your health.

For a few hundred years on a planet that is about 4.5 billion years old, Science has been a great tool to learn and grow in our awareness of what exists within Reality. It's infancy must be over by now and it is time for Science to learn to walk... for the next few hundred or thousand years.

Science knows how Science works.. theories are thought up to explain something Science can observe. Very often this means it makes itself wrong.. by finding something new it didn't know before.

And yet Science has a type of brotherhood mentality, like soldiers or police, in that it thinks it already knows everything about what it has decided are the facts... so far. It then ignores it's own history, and derides anyone who is theorising or expounding something new that goes against the grain of The Facts... so far.

In the past couple of years in course of conversation with some of this brotherhood, I have seen them immediately go to personal attack on the individual and attempting to assasinate their character so that No One else will listen to them. They have used their obvious education and air of superiority that we often see in people who are closed minded, to over-power the individual voice.

So, if you or anyone else who has direct experience in the scientific fields, like Archeology, Ancient History ...or any other pidegeon hole in Science.. that differs from the The Facts.. and you do not have a string of small letters after your name.. oh, and the much needed peer reviewed papers.. then you are a Fraud.. a Fringe dweller in Reality and not worthy of being heard in a Conversation.

Weird isn't it?

I mean, how do the elitist in this brotherhood learn anything new.. other than it must adhere to the way they say it must? What if The Facts still have information not yet observed in it?

I know of a man who has been studying Ancient cultures around Gympie for his whole life.. as did his grandfather and great-grandfather.. no not the Gilroy fraudster. Sure these men never had the string of letters after their name.. so never got to need peer review papers.. but these men learned something valuable, they recorded their evidences and maintained artifacts or found artifacts during archeological digs.. with a proper archeologist on board in more modern times... and Yet..

Science won't even bother to look at them ! The elitists say it's just Fringe stuff and not worth anything to them.. before they even had a look or spoke to the man or the museum he took artifacts he found to.

What is wrong with this picture?

A shepherd in the middle east can pull one of his goats out of a small cave, find some old scrolls, and Science goes berserk over it.

Yet an honest man can find and pull a large ancient artifact out of a small salt water lake in Queensland and be totally ignored, while being pushed to the Fringe by Science.. and some groups of religionists.

Don't get me wrong here.. I LOVE Science.  It excites me with the pace of discoveries in the micro and macro worlds. It bores me to death with it's incessant face of superiority. It makes me think outside the box about some of the unanswered questions, I respect it for the many positive improvements to life on earth due directly to Science.

But I cannot tolerate the Elitism of the brotherhood mentality... especially when historically it proves itself to have been wrong and it doesn't think it can happen again.

Where does that donation money go?

I got this yesterday in an email and think it needs to be shared around.....

I thought it was always "Rob the rich to give it to the Poor"
Now: Rob the Poor to enrich the Rich.

Keep these facts in mind when "donating". As you open your pockets for yet another natural disaster, keep the following facts in mind; we have listed them from the highest (worse paid offender) to the lowest (least paid offender).

The worst offender was yet again for the 11th year in a row is, UNICEF - CEO, receives $1,200,000 per year, (plus use of a Rolls Royce for his exclusive use where ever he goes, and an expense account that is rumoured to be well over $150,000.) Only pennies from the actual donations goes to the UNICEF cause (less than $0.14 per dollar of income).

The second worst offender this year is Marsha J. Evans, President and CEO Of the American Red Cross... For her salary for the year ending in 2009 was $651,957 plus expenses. Enjoys 6 weeks - fully paid holidays including all related expenses during the holiday trip for her and her husband and kids. Including 100% fully paid health & dental plan for her and her family, for life. This means out of every dollar they bring in, about $0.39 goes to related charity causes.

The third worst offender was again for the 7th time was, Brian Gallagher, President of the United Way receives a $375,000 base salary (U. S. Funds), plus so many numerous expense benefits it's hard to keep track as to what it is all worth, including a fully paid lifetime membership for 2 golf courses (1 in Canada, and 1 in the U. S. A.), 2 luxury vehicles, a yacht club membership,
3 major company gold credit cards for his personal expenses... And so on. This equates to about $0.51 per dollar of income goes to charity causes.

Fourth worst offender who was also again in the fourth spot, for every year since this information has been made available from the start 1998 is amazingly yet again, World Vision President (Canada) receives $300,000 base salary, (plus supplied - a home valued in the $700,000 - $800,000 dollar value range, completely furnished, completely paid all housing expenses, including taxes, water/sewer, telephone/fax, HD/high speed cable, weekly maid service and pool/yard maintenance, fully paid private schooling for his children, upscale automobile and an $55,000 personal expense account for clothing/food, with a $125,000 business expense account).
Get this, because it is a "religious based" charity, it pays, little to no taxes, can receive government assistance and does not have to declare were the money goes. Only about $0.52 of earned income per dollar is available for charity causes.

Of the sixty some odd "charities" we looked at, the lowest paid (President/CEO/Commissioner) was heading up a charity group in Canada . We found, believe it or not, it was......

Ready for this.

I think you might be surprised...

It is, none other than...

The Salvation Army's Commissioner Todd Bassett receives a salary of only $13,000 per year (plus housing) for managing this $2 Billion dollar organization. Which means about $0.93 per dollar earned, is readily available and goes back out to local charity causes... Truly amazing ... And well done "Sally Anne" Lions clubs use all donations to go back into the community as all account monies are the responsibility of the club to raise by odd jobs to a separate account

No further comment is necessary..."Think Twice" before you give to your charity of choice as to which one really does the best for the most - or the least for the most, for that matter. Remember charity starts at home. Look after the people of this country.

How much interest on a loan?

Here's a shocker to think about....

You borrow $5,000 from any Banks or Lending Institutions and repay that loan over only 4 years at $153 per month.... how much interest do you end up paying ?

You end up paying back $7,344.. so Interest on a 5 Grand Loan is almost HALF.. $2,344 !!!!!!!

What a RIP OFF!!!!!!

Grrr @ Banks and Lending companies.

Seriously? How hard is it to get a pissy little $5,000 loan these days?

I have learned now after three rejections that they have something called "The Figure" which is used to work out ability to repay a loan.. and that figure is $15,000 per person per year... how much Banks say it costs everyone to live.

And it seems that if you live for less than that they will not listen to you.

I have a guaranteed income, I can easily afford up to $150 per month in loan repayments over 4 years, I have an excellent Credit Rating.. but my Bank and another I tried today says I can't afford a loan.. based on "The Figure".

What a load of steaming BS that is.... I am so pissed off right now.

This leaves me having to save for the Bike I want over the next 18 months to 2 years.. and hope the values don't keep increasing like they have been so far this year where bikes that were about 4 to 5 grand are now 6 to 7grand and higher in Southern States and just up the road in Toowoomba.

And the only problem with that is Motivation... how the hell can trying to hold a mental image of the bike I want going to help me sit still and save hard for up to 2 years?????

I will go totally crazy well before the 2 years arrives. You will probably read about me in the newspapers well before I get a Bike.... I'll be the grumpy old guy who got Tasered to death by Cops or something like that.

I need a sugar-mummy.. or a friend who can afford to lend me the money and is happy to have automatic deductions each fortnight to repay the loan over the next 4 years.

Or just Taze me now and get it over with.

One day, long, long ago....

There lived a woman who did no whine, nag or bitch about anything.

But, that was the longest time ago, and it was just for one day.

Beware!! Media has created this Leadership issue

Anyone else notice that yet?

Don't need to be a rocket scientist to see how the Media has been CREATING the face-off between Gillard and Rudd.

In reality, and if you read their own words, neither of these two had any intention to have this leadership challenge thing.

Which leaves us with wondering then why has the media been printing and broadcasting all these headlines about Leadership Woes and backroom fights?

Could have something to do with the Media Ownership perhaps?

You betcha bottom dollar it is.

The ownership of Media in Oz is shared around by about two people.. both are historically very keen Liberal Party supporters and are also part of the World's Elite.. which shows where their loyalties lay.. not with what is GOOD for Oz, or the population, but what will create them MORE Revenue, provide them with more Power and Control over what the population Thinks.

And the best way to insure they get who they want in power again is to create a BELIEF that Labour is splitting at the seems, that Labour is not a cohesive Team, and so cannot do a fair job of running the country.

Before Labour was voted into power I was telling my friends that the worst thing we could do now for Australia was to vote for Labour.. not because they are bad.. but because all around the World the Rats (Elitists) were leaving the sinking ship.. they didn't even bother to contest that election at all.. they let is slide by.. exactly like they had wanted.

Why did they do this?

Simple... so that Labour would get Blamed by the brainwashed masses into Believing all the problems are because of the Labour Party being in power at the time.

Those masses did not understand that when you make changes to policies, finances, etc, it takes a fair bit of time for the long term outcomes to show up in daily life.. and to get people to want you around, you just bow out gracefully and watch the Circus Show you created as the Masses do blame the current government for the position we are in.

This is what annoys me about the Australian People.. most do not give a shit about what is really going on because they are far too busy chasing more Dollars for More LIFESTYLE.. and doing that at 400km/h every day does not allow room to research and find the Truth of any matter... which is exactly what the agenda in play has been doing for a few decades now.

The other problem is, when you attempt to talk with the brainwashed.. going too fast through life chasing $$$ and Lifestyle .. they cannot understand what you mean and think you are a nutter for having such wild ideas.

Look at ancient Roman Politics of the day.. what has changes sinse then really?

Nothing.. backroom deals make the policies.. anyone with a fair perception on the issues who try to get into government to change things get HAMMERED HARD.. repeatedly until they cower away or convert to save their own skin.. a'la Peter Garret or the the Chip Shop owner.

Man, I wish I could do something to wake up people in this country.. seriously. They all run around on the chase.. theuir inds are filled with deadshit TV and Not The News to make their brains like Goop that won't work properly.

Add to that the poisoning in our foods and water.. and you might start to see there has been a long term problem for as far back as we can remember.

What good is it for a government to push for plain cigarette packaging?

Why not push for Clean Tobacco products.. free from the added Toxic Cocktails that cause Addiction and Health Issues?

And then why not USE the heavy TAXES for what it is SUPPOSED to be used for?

Why isn't all that Tax put straight into the Health System for the "Supposed" drain by smoking related illnesses?

Because that Tax is being used for other things and not what it was meant for.

If that one little line does not prove to you that our govenment.. Labour and Liberal do not have your best intrests at heart then I don't know what will.

Wake UP

STOP PRESS...

Seems old Ruddy has been talked into going for the challenege now.. silly boy.. how to damage the party more.

Banks... Oldie is not happy with you

Some of you know I want to buy a cheap motorcycle for a Gap Year.. been saving but it will take forever at this rate due to the value of the bike I want suddenly skyrocketing after xmas last year.. seems a lot of old farts want this particular brand of bike now days.

Four months ago I found a lot for sale with fairly low miles and plenty of after market additions to improve the bikes.. all were for sale in Queensland. All other Aussie states had ridiculous prices for the same kind of bike with similar mileage.. and Toowoomba, just up the road from me had the highest prices in Queensland for the same bike... nothing new there since they all think their old shit is worth gazillions.

So, last week I go into my bank to see about a measly little 5 grand loan... repayments of only $153 per month.. almost the same as my internet and phone costs.. so all good I thought, I can easily repay that over four years..... No says the Loans Manager.. YOU can't afford it based on the bank's figure for the cost of living for everyone in this district!!!

WTF??? That's only $38 per week.. two packets of smokes... a week's worth of Iced Coffee.. two night's Take Aways.. yep.. a tiny drop in the bucket.

So Friday I return to the bank to discuss the 7 year loan for that measly 5 grand.. and this time the loans manager is more friendly... she says YES you can afford to repay this laon, and you can afford to put more on to reduce the term length, etc. Do you want Contents Insurance while you are here?

Hmmm.. thinking that might help sweeten the deal in my favour I say Yes please, let's do this. And we all sit happily smiling about the loan and me being able to go buy a bike soon.

Then late last night I get an email from the Bank...... Rejected!!

Why? Because I did not meet their minimum income requirements.

WTF??? I thought we worked through all the garbage about whether I could afford to pay off the loan and found I could easily do it.. as I had been telling them all along.

So what to do now?

Well.. I am being a bit of a bastard about it.. tomorrow I go in and close all my accounts.. take the offered cooling off period on the Insurance deal andf take my business to the Credit Union and see if they will lend me that measly 5 grand for my much needed bike.

I can tell you, last night when I thought all hope was lost except to save for years and years to try and catch up with the increasing prices on this bike.. which wil never happen and so Oldie is really, really, really, pissed off right now.

Can't imagine not buying a bike and having some enjoyment before I die.. so something has to give to make this happen for me.. or I think I will just give up, not bother trying and just go away quietly and drag through the next few years of being pissed off with everything.
